![]() I also had ffmpeg 4.2.2 installed independently through Homebrew, and uninstalled that as well. By default, the exported file will be given an 'm4a' extension. ![]() I discovered that isn’t possible any more, so uninstalled it (with brew uninstall). M4A (AAC) Files (FFmpeg): Advanced Audio Coding is a compressed, lossy format used in Apple applications, generally achieving slightly better quality than MP3 for the same file size. The only possible reason I can think of is that I had previous installed audacity using Homebrew. I then reinstalled Audacity and FFmpeg, but with the same result.
